Michael J Davies
Prof. Michael Davies received his B.Sc. and D.Phil. in Chemistry from University of York, UK. He is currently Director of The Heart Research Institute, a conjoint professor at The University of Sydney, and an ARC Professorial Fellow. He has previously held ARC QE2 and Senior Fellowships.
His research interests lie in mechanisms of protein modification by reactive species, the biological consequences of such reactions, and the development of methods to quantify protein damage in human disease. He is currently President of the International Society for Free Radical Research and Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Free Radical Research”.
